The Technical PMO Manager is a hybrid role that combines strategic oversight of a PMO with the hands-on expertise of a Technical Project Manager. This role ensures that ITScybersecurity’s project portfolio aligns with business objectives while efficiently delivering technical solutions in AI governance, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention.

As the Technical PMO Manager, you will lead the PMO function, establish governance frameworks, and provide technical guidance on AI governance, cybersecurity integration, and generative AI solutions like BusinessGPT. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage complex technical projects that enhance security, compliance, and AI-driven innovation for highly regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Governance and Oversight

  • Develop, implement, and manage project governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure consistency and alignment with ITScybersecurity’s mission.
  • Monitor and report on the status of all projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with business goals.
  • Define and enforce standards for project management tools, methodologies, and performance metrics.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure efficient resource allocation and project execution.

Portfolio and Program Management

  • Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and scalability of BusinessGPT for government and healthcare sectors.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies across multiple projects.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and performance assessments to provide actionable insights to executive leadership.

Technical Project Execution

  • Act as the lead technical project manager for high-priority AI and cybersecurity projects.
  • Translate business objectives into technical specifications, ensuring solutions align with client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, including engineers, solutions architects, and data scientists, to ensure successful AI and cybersecurity implementations.
  • Proactively identify and address technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership and Mentorship

  • Lead a team of project managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, fostering clear communication and collaboration.
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project management function.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with business and client needs.
  • Present project updates, milestones, and outcomes to CTOs, compliance officers, and business leaders.
  • Act as a client liaison for technical project implementation, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with business goals.

Required Skills and Experience

Project Management Expertise

  • Proven experience in project portfolio management and PMO governance.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management frameworks is highly desirable.

Technical Acumen

  • Deep understanding of AI governance, cybersecurity, and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience leading technical projects involving cloud solutions, SaaS platforms, or data governance tools.
  • Familiarity with generative AI solutions and their secure integration into enterprise systems.

Leadership and Communication

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate with executive leadership, regulatory bodies, and external clients.

Problem-Solving and Adaptability

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience managing risks, compliance challenges, and cybersecurity threats in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in healthcare, finance, or government sectors is a plus.

Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar platforms.
